Lauren and Bernie’s State Room Boston wedding was simply put, beautiful and authentic. They could think of no better spot then right in the center of Boston, including the seaport, the financial district and the North End to really feature their home city. They began getting ready at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf in separate rooms. The ladies were busily preparing (with the kids in tow!) with a gorgeous view of the fall foliage out their window. The guys were enjoying their drinks out of custom made tumblers as they got ready. After reading sweet notes to each other, everyone headed off to the ceremony.
Jillian and Emmett are truly meant to be. The connection between each other was so lovely that they made my job a breeze! We began walking around the gardens of Elm Bank on a warm afternoon. Jillian and Emmett wore blues to stand out against the lush greens. From there we took the short drive to Wellesley College, where Emmett both attended and now currently works.
Jessica and Ryan’s wedding was truly a fairytale come to life at the Mansion at Turner Hill. They wanted to have the first time they see each other on the wedding day when Jessica walked down the aisle. So even thought they were getting ready in the same locations, we did our best to keep them separate. They had their ceremony at St. Rose of Lima in nearby Topsfield. After the kiss, they headed back to Turner Hill.
Dasha is not only a beautiful person inside and out but also our dear friend. When Jory first proposed to her, she immediately asked if we could photograph her wedding and of course we were thrilled to be a part of it! Not only that but she chose to have the reception at our space, Somerville Studios. Dasha planned every aspect of the wedding from start to finish and her eye for detail was seen throughout. From the amazing transformation of our studio space to the little details like the flowers and gifts sprinkled throughout the day.
Danielle and Sam have the kind happiness together that is contagious - in a good way! When I first saw them for their engagement session, Sam told me he was SO EXCITED FOR PICTURES! I love that feeling of excitement and we had such a fun time going around Fenway. Sam’s family has season tickets so they often are seen at Red Sox games having a blast. After Fenway, we took a quick ride to Beacon Hill. They changed outfits into something a little more fall with the background of Boston brick. Finally we ended at the esplanade right as the sun was setting. I had such a great time spending the afternoon with these two and can’t wait for their wedding taking place at Waverly Oaks next November!
Maggie and Gunnar’s Sunset Farm wedding in Groton was such a relaxed and fun affair. The most important thing for them was that all their family and friends enjoyed themselves! They originally met in college Freshman year at James Madison University. They were originally friends but eventually it turned into something more over that first year. They have been through so much together from college graduations to first jobs and Gunnar was always there to rub her feet after long shifts at the hospital. Maggie has always been his best cheerleader during college football and there to support him as he advances in his career as a software engineer. They made so many stories together and their wedding day was no exception.
The most important thing to Haley and Joe was to give their friends and family and incredible weekend together enjoying the Cape. What better place then the Lighthouse Inn where everyone could relax and enjoy the scenery!
Kelly and Cuong’s wedding was nothing short of magical. They picked 3 gorgeous locations as a backdrop for their day. First they began getting ready at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester. Every detail was simple, unique and chic. Kelly had a two part dress. The first was form fitting with a flare and the second was a long train that attached to the bodice specifically for the ceremony. The bridesmaids had long back evening gowns, which were very elegant. Cuong had a perfectly fitted white tux while his groomsmen wore a white shirt and black suspenders. The look of the bridal party was one I hadn’t seen before and it fit together so elegantly.
Cindy and Ronald had a busy weekend filled with events. Friday they had a Tea Ceremony with family and on Saturday they had a beautiful ceremony at The State Room in Boston followed by a larger reception later that night at Pallin City. Cindy’s details for the wedding were on point. Her talented cousin made all the robes, invitations and signs. Cindy kept the high fashion styling going from her dress right down to her shoes.
Steph and Joe got married at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester this past weekend and it was nothing short of spectacular! There was not one moment of stress the entire day and it was clear from the get-go that they had such a true and everlasting love. They each began getting ready in separate rooms and were eagerly awaiting the moment they could see each other all dressed up. That moment came on the deck overlooking the ocean and Joe’s expression after seeing Steph for the first time was priceless.
Margaret and Colin’s wedding day was nothing short of spectacular at the Newport Harbor Island Resort. Everyone began getting ready there overlooking the Newport Bridge and the goats - we were on Goat Island, after all. We traveled to the Elm’s for some beautiful portraits and an emotional first look. The anticipation was building up and Colin’s tearful reaction seeing Margaret for the first time was priceless. It’s moments like that which make our job so great!
Lisa and Alex make for a beautiful couple and their marriage was the final seal to combine their families. With Armenian, Greek and Albanian roots. They got ready separately then saw each other as Lisa walked down the aisle at the St. James Armenian Church in Watertown. They had a traditional ceremony with crowns and blessings from both the Orthodox and Roman Catholic priests. Once they were wed we all traveled to the Danversport Yacht Club for their reception.
Katie and Kevin’s wedding will go down in the books as one of the most lighthearted and relaxed “big” weddings we’ve seen. Most weddings we see that are over 250 people involve complicated logistics and lots of stress. This wedding was planned by the couple to perfection and they didn’t show a hint of stress the entire day. The guys and the ladies began getting ready at the Fairmont Copley in separate rooms.
Christina and Justin wanted their wedding to be in the heart of Boston so they picked the Liberty Hotel, which has a rich history within the city. It was originally the Charles Street Jail in 1851 and has since been converted into a luxury hotel. They reserved the famous Ebersol suite, which has the most incredible view of Boston! They began getting ready separately and then met at the rotunda window for the first look. There were a few nerves before meeting but once they saw each other, those all melted away and they were so excited to officially begin the day.
Eddine and Christian picked World’s End as the spot of their engagement session for it’s beautiful views. I warned them ahead of time that it’s lot of walking to fully capture the natural beauty and they were all in. They even showed up in formal wear to go the extra mile! ! They had two incredible outfits and looked effortlessly stunning in every photo. They were helped by the Maid of Honor, Jen, who graciously carried all the clothes around. She definitely wins the MOH of the year award!
Cape Cod is a very important place for both Conner and Caitlin and they wanted to show their guests how special it is! Conner and Caitlin, along with her parents, planned events that would showcase all that the Cape has to offer. On their website they compiled a list of some of their favorite places and things to do on Cape when we are there during the summer.
We drove over to Wellesley to the Gardens at Elm Bank. The rain had stopped by the time we got there so they decided to have the ceremony outside. It was blue skies all the way up until everyone walked down the aisle. As they began their vows, an ominous cloud suddenly came over and began pouring on the guests! We ran to give umbrellas to everyone as they continued their vows. As soon as the rain had come, it suddenly disappeared and out came the sunlight just before the first kiss! It truly was a magical moment that no one will forget.
