Dasha is not only a beautiful person inside and out but also our dear friend. When Jory first proposed to her, she immediately asked if we could photograph her wedding and of course we were thrilled to be a part of it! Not only that but she chose to have the reception at our space, Somerville Studios. Dasha planned every aspect of the wedding from start to finish and her eye for detail was seen throughout. From the amazing transformation of our studio space to the little details like the flowers and gifts sprinkled throughout the day.

The ladies began getting ready at the Royal Sonesta overlooking the Boston skyline. Last minute preparations included bouquet crafting, dress steaming, hemming and so forth. Finally everyone was ready and waiting eagerly for the first look. They guys got ready at their home in West Roxbury with their pups. They then went over to Fenway for a few fun shots since Jory is an avid baseball fan and player on the weekends. When they arrived at the Royal Sonesta, they had their first look with the backdrop of the gorgeous skyline. After a few photos, it was time for the ceremony. It took place in the little public park right next to the Sonesta beside the archways. They had a good friend officiate their wedding and they wrote their own vows, making it all the more special. With a kiss they were wed.

We grabbed a few sunset photos by the Longfellow Bridge with the perfect evening light and then it was off to the reception at Somerville Studios. The decor was rustic with a hint of modern eclectic flair. There were string lights, giving off a warm ambiance and there was a sushi chef preparing delicious bites for guests. Everything was so perfect from the Mediterranean fare dinner to the dancing long into the night cause hey, it’s our studio and the party doesn’t stop until we says it does! Congratulations to the happiest of couples and the dearest of friends.
