Sharon and Jeff met at work 12 years ago when they developed a strong relationship over time. They realized that they had each found their soulmate but for many years said they would never marry. After 8 years into the relationship, they finally got engaged on New Years Eve while on vacation in the British Virgin Islands. Planning a wedding is always a big undertaking and Sharon and Jeff made sure it would be an unforgettable day.
Election Day, 2012 marked the first pre-session for a graduate study abroad intensive in Spain and Morocco. Alyssa and Eric had never met, graduating 4 years apart in undergrad. After some small talk and political banter, they made a friendly wager on the results of the election. Alyssa, the closeted Democrat, lost the bet and owed Eric a vodka y limon once in Spain.
Yasmine and Osama have a complicated story about their engagement session. They originally scheduled it in Calgary, but forest fires caused it not to happen at all. Not to be deterred, they decided that if the mountains wouldn’t work out then they could capture a beautiful city-scape of Boston in the fall. Little did they know that unpredictable New England weather would almost ruin their plans!
Alyssa and Brendan met on a camping trip to Saco, Maine the summer after freshmen year of college. Alyssa's college roommate invited her to come for the weekend with her high school friends and introduced her to Brendan. Alyssa played really hard to get but ended up falling for Brendan’s sweet charm.
Their wedding day began at the State Room, where they had a traditional tea ceremony honoring their parents and family members. Immediately afterwards, they began their ceremony with Francesca’s brother, Christopher officiating. They wrote vows to each other, which were very sweet and meaningful. After the cocktail hour, we drove around Boston taking photos at the Public Gardens, Beacon Hill, the Charles River and MIT. The reception took place at Empire Garden with an exciting Lion dance to kick off the night. Such a fun and wonderful couple, Tommy joked that he was a “groomzilla” but they sure did put together a beautiful and fun wedding day!
It was such pleasure meeting Cindy and Ronald at the beautiful Elm Bank for their engagement session! The two of them love Elm Bank because it was on their list for wedding venues. I asked Cindy what she loved about the gardens and she replied “the greenery, flowers and the openness of the gardens.” We walked around the gardens then the two of them changed into more of a romantic outfit for the second part of their session.
Cindy and Ronald met in college about 5 years ago. They both are very excited about planning their wedding in the mountains of New Hampshire next August. After some jokes and laughs together they didn’t look so shy in front of the camera after all. Congratulations to you both!
Their wedding day started off with family in Karen’s room getting ready with their sweet dog, Layla. Brian was anxiously waiting for Karen to finish wondering why it was taking so long! Finally Karen was ready (on time mind you) and they saw each other for the first time in the lobby. We drove to the Harborwalk by the courthouse for some portraits and then to Post Office Square for family photos. After that, we headed over to Mistral for the ceremony.
The two of them had the most beautiful day ever with a vintage twist! They selected the Omni Parker House, which was the perfect venue for their style right in the center of Boston. After getting ready, they had their first look on the top floor surrounded by historic sites. We then took a walk outside to Old City Hall for their portraits. They then had their sweet ceremony in King’s Chapel, which was originally built in 1754 before the founding of the country. There were so many great moments, especially between Paige and her Dad. At one point we thought the floor was going to collapse from so much dancing!
Julie and Jordan had a perfect wedding on a late summer's day on Labor Day weekend. All the festivities took place at the Four Seasons in Boston. They had their first look on the grand staircase and then we were off to the public gardens for some portraits. Afterwards they had their Ketubah signing and then their ceremony. The cocktail hour food and drink was the most incredible we've seen with sushi, a margarita bar, tacos, a raw bar and more. Their reception room was also lavishly decorated on mirror tables with impeccable style and floral arrangements.
Mary and Dylan had a fabulous summer Tupper Manor wedding, despite it getting off to a bit of a rocky start. Dylan was biking in the early morning and took a tumble, resulting in a broken wrist! After a few hours spent in the hospital, he was released with a very discreet black splint. Forgoing any pain meds so he could be in the moment, he was ready to go and arrived at Tupper Manor with plenty of time to spare before the ceremony. What a trooper!
Haley and Joe are two of the sweetest people I've met. It was clear from the first few minutes how much they are devoted to each other. We met at World's End on a warm summer's evening as the sun was slowly making it's way down to a golden glow. I warned Haley to wear comfortable shoes since we ended up walking miles along the rolling hills, exploring all that World's End has to offer. The best part was when we got to the quiet forested area and then spotted 3 deer - two does and a fawn. We walked a bit further then saw many more of all ages in the long grass, seemingly unfazed by our presence. We ended up seeing 11 total that evening, which was such a magical experience. What good luck as they embark on their journey as soon-to-be husband and wife!
Their beautiful ceremony took place at the Fruitlands Museum over looking the hills. They decided to integrate both catholic and Jewish traditions for their wedding day with a Rabbi and Nancy's Uncle Dan as officiants. Throughout the day there were so many moments for Nancy and Eugene that held a special place in their hearts. Congratulations to Nancy and Eugene we wish you the best!
Cynthia and Billy began getting ready at a modern AirBnB overlooking a pond on the Cape. They had a short tea ceremony with their parents and then it was off to the Heritage Museum and Gardens. Cynthia changed into her white dress and they had their first look by the fountain. We then walked with the bridal party around the extensive grounds. From secret gardens to a tree house to an old fashioned carousel, every corner we turned there was beauty!
Lisa & Ben got married at the beautiful Elm Bank where mother nature made her appearance and graced us with some showers. The rain didn't stop us from going throughout the gardens and capturing Lisa & Ben in love. Lisa's dress was one of a kind, her mom had so many memorable "something borrowed" pieces for her to wear that meant so much to them both. From Lisa's baby ring (that still fit her!) to her grandmothers, and grandfathers pins. These two were real troopers with all the curve balls that were thrown at us throughout the day. Their wedding day will certainly be one to remember not for the rain but for their devotion to each other.
I met Jen and Grant on a summery day at the Boston Public Gardens with their adorable dog, Frankie. The rambunctious 1 year old pup stayed still long enough for some quick photos before being brought home by Jen's mom. We then walked around the gardens taking in the sights and grabbing some beautiful shots by the pond. This stylish couple made my job easy and I loved the coordination with the pop of red in Jen's shoes and earrings and Grant's pocket square!
Sierra and Andrew are a true part of the local community in Newburyport. They live on Plum Island across the street from the beach with their two parakeets and right next door are members of their band. They chose to have their engagement session in Newburyport and also their wedding to truly capture their hometown.
Karen and Pat's day will go down as the hottest of the year for us! The two of them eloped in Kauai, Hawaii back in February with Karen planning the whole elopement in just one week! They spent two weeks island hopping then came back to plan a celebration with family and friends.
Molly and Dhruve made our jobs very easy on their wedding day - there aren't enough great things to say about this wedding! They had both a Jewish and a Hindu ceremony over the course of two days. The first evening was a more informal Jewish ceremony with their closest family and friends at Molly's house in Needham. The next day was their extravagant Indian wedding at Elm Bank in Wellesley. The unique combination of both cultures and their love for one made their wedding truly unforgettable.
Leia and Matt had their first date in the Seaport where they went to Legal Test Kitchen for dinner, followed by the Atlantic Beer Garden for drinks. Matt wanted to surprise Leia by setting up his proposal by mimicking their date. After the dinner, he proposed to her on a bridge where he had first put his arm around her when she was cold. They then headed to the Atlantic Beer Garden where BearFight was playing and to Leia's surprise, all their family and friends were waiting for them!
Emily and Stephen began the process thinking that they would elope or have an intimate wedding at city hall. In the end they realized that they both wanted to share the day with their closest family and friends, so they opted to host something a bit more traditional but still relaxed and fun. They chose La Brasa because the food, drink, and atmosphere aligned with the non-traditional vibe they were hoping to achieve for their wedding. They got lucky with a perfect sunny day as a sign of things to come!
