The story of how Aliza and Zach met each other sounds like the beginning of a Jewish comedy- on Christmas Eve at a Chinese restaurant. After exchanging stories all night, their first official date was set for the next evening, what else but a movie on Christmas day! Their wedding day began with them each getting ready apart in Tupper Manor in Beverly. Their first look took place during the bedeken ceremony. Zach and the guys danced over to her and placed the veil over her head in preparation for the ceremony.
Nicole and David have known each other for over 10 years. In that time, they have had so many wonderful adventures together, especially when traveling the world. The wedding was planned by Nicole and each and every detail was carefully thought out. They wanted a romantic, garden party style wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family. The day felt both glamorous and intimate in such a beautiful setting.
What do you get when you combine the perfect couple, the perfect dog and the perfect light? THESE PHOTOS! Love these guys, I've been holding off on posting this session because I wanted to do it justice. I cannot wait for their wedding in August!
Lindsay and Tim have known each other for 11 years, all the way since High School! Their story begins "one time at band camp" when they were taking a trip to Virginia with the high school marching band. They began dating and stayed together all throughout college. Having a long distance relationship made them stronger as a couple and the rest, as they say, is history!
What a sweet couple! We began at the Boston Public garden to catch the last of the flowering trees. From there we took a walk through Beacon Hill and the iconic Acorn Street. We finally ended at the esplanade so they could dip their toes into the Charles River at sunset.
These guys will soon tie the knot on Thompson Island and I for one cannot wait for their fun and relaxed affair out in the middle of Boston Harbor. Here's to hoping to see some epic fireworks displays and bonfires on July 4th weekend!
Kyuwon and Cliff originally met at Harvard, where they were studying together at the very beginning of college. The two quickly became inseparable and it only makes sense that they would get married right in Harvard Square where it all began. They chose the Sinclair, an amazing concert venue that you wouldn't normally associate with weddings. That makes it all the better as this unique venue gave their day excitement and let's be real, getting married on a rock stage is just plain awesome!
Amy and Marcelo are a wonderful couple and so deeply in love. When we first met them they told us how they originally met at the local Cambridge spot, Ryles Jazz Club, and how important music and dancing is to their lives. Needless to say, their first dance was incredible! There was also a slideshow where Marcelo surprised Amy with never before seen video footage of their first date from years ago.
We took full advantage of the golden light for this beautiful engagement session! Parisa and Farid met me at Larz Anderson Park for a sunset session around the gorgeous landscape. These two are getting married this summer at the Boston Harbor Hotel and I for one cannot wait for the day to come. They rocked their engagement session and I know they will do the same for their wedding day!
Anita and Cho had a big beautiful wedding at the Fairmont on a gorgeous spring day. They began the day with hilarious door games followed by a traditional tea ceremony decked with gold. Anita then changed into a white dress before we took a stroll through Copley.
As we made our way to the Garden, it was a quintessential Boston scene with the little leaves dotting overhead and cherry blossoms floated on the air along Commonwealth Avenue. With weeks of rain, the sun gave way for these two.
A harp played in the Oval Room of the Fairmont as guests took their seats for their ceremony. If you've ever walked through it's ornate interior, rich with architectural details at every turn, it was an absolute pleasure to capture their day against this backdrop. In the Grand Ballroom, the dinner was perfectly set.
Knowing Cho, personally, and a great deal of his friends from Newton days, we knew they'd get the party started right and dance late into the night. We wish them many years of lasting memories.
Emily and Mark took their adorable dog Kupo on a walk around Boston Common on a beautiful spring day. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the sun finally broke through the clouds. We then walked to Beacon hill to wander around the brownstones and acorn street. Finally we took in the sunset at the Esplanade. We can't wait to shoot their beautiful Bermuda wedding next March!
We've known Ruben for years so when he asked us to shoot his wedding, it was a given that we would be the ones to capture the day. It all started with rain... a LOT of rain. The plan was to have the ceremony in the Boston public garden so the downpour was less than desired. Ruben is the general manger at Red Sky Studios, where everyone got ready. He then wrangled some PA's to rig up tents in the garden. When we arrived, the rain just stopped at the perfect time and the clouds parted.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, with them exchanging their vows to each other. Afterwards we took a walk around the park taking photos along the water and among the beautiful spring flowers. In the afternoon, they threw a fun party back at Red Sky and partied the night away.
We have known Rebecca for a long time and Turbo has been a key part of her life for 12 years. When we first met Billy, we could see that they were perfect for each other and he quickly became obsessed with Turbo! In case you can't tell from the photos... they really really love their pup. Billy has a huge passion for comics and Rebecca shares in the love of fantasy. He makes her laugh constantly and it's clear to see these two are destined to be together. We can't wait to shoot their wedding later this month!
We first met baby Monroe when she was just a few days old. 1 year later, she is back in the studio cuter than ever! It was her first birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a pretty pink cake. Monroe went straight for the frosting, eating as much as her little tummy could hold. She was so happy - giggling, laughing and clapping the whole time! What a precious little one. Her parents are so lucky to have the most perfect happy baby!
Jenny and Andrew had a beautiful wedding day at the Liberty Hotel in Boston on a chilly day in the beginning of March. You can never predict New England weather and this day it was 17 degrees. Jenny wanted to take a few photos outside (Andrew skeptically agreed) and we all made about 5 minutes before we ran back inside to warm up! The best part of getting married at the Liberty is the beauty and chic atmosphere inside. A former jailhouse, there are 5 stories of balconies in this historic spot.
This wild adventure of a wedding was certainly out this world (hehe). Looking back at the wedding of Kellie + Steve brought back all the memories of the Storm troopers, fireworks, hot air balloons and the special message beamed down from the international space station.
It's no secret that we LOVE to travel. We would much rather have our passports filled up than our bank accounts but we got the best of both worlds when we filmed the unforgettable wedding in Italy last September. Jovan hadn't visited his family in 3 years so we took that opportunity to spend some time in Macedonia, where he was born. Visiting his grandfather and all the cousins, aunts, uncles, second cousins, etc is always so much fun and comes with the best food in the world. They say home is where the heart is and Jovan's home is definitely in the Balkans!
When two filmmakers ask you to film and photograph their wedding, it's always a nerve wracking prospect. When one of them is a veteran of LV and Above Summit then it's an even bigger undertaking! These two planned their elopement to be something totally different than anything we've ever seen before. They traveled to NYC and rented a helicopter, saying their vows to each other and sealing it with a kiss high above the city! After the high flying ceremony, we went to Top of the Rock to watch the sunset over the city. Finally, we took the short walk to Times Square and they had fun twirling around in the heart of the city.
We are so thrilled to announce that we won both the Wedding Wire Couples' Choice Award based on our great reviews as well as the vendor-voted Best of Borrowed and Blue! It feels incredible to be recognized both by our couples as well as our peers. Thank you to all our supporters, this is a great way to kick off the new year!
If you can believe it, having an incredibly stunning wedding on the Amalfi Coast was this couple's "Plan B". Don't worry folks, it all worked out and cemented stories to be told for generations. Discover the story of Michelle + Nick's dream wedding.
Danielle began getting ready at their house in Newburyport. Her adorable flower girls definitely stole the show as they thew a dance party, spinning in their tulle skirts and casting spells with their princess wands! Danielle was incredibly stunning in her lace gown and succulent bouquet. Dan got ready nearby and they both met at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Newburyport. After their traditional Catholic ceremony, they got in the limo and headed over to Turner Hill.
