Elizabeth and Mike had a fabulous wedding in the heart of Boston. They originally met at work, sitting right next to each other! Mike sat behind Elizabeth and made her laugh all day long. They were cube mates for a couple of years and then started dating. Mike proposed at the Bunker Hill Monument and they knew then they wanted a beautiful Boston wedding in the city. Congrats guys!
When first meeting this couple, we could tell that Kasey has an eye for design. Anthony knows that with her high fashion taste, the perfect gift was a gorgeous Chanel necklace. She surprised him right back with a stunning Burberry watch. They had their first look in the gardens at Turner Hill in Ipswich. There were still leaves on the trees all the way into mid November with brilliant colors surrounding the property. We wandered the gardens taking in the beauty around us of the historic property.
We can't be any more thrilled that the gorgeous white and gold affair of Yiho and Michael has been published!
Their wedding took place at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge right along the Charles River. Elana has a creative eye and was drawn to the blueish gray tones of the recently renovated hotel as it perfectly matched her color palette. Her love of gems really showed in the beautiful details in the place cards and table numbers. She hand painted the gems herself! After the Ketubah signing, they had a beautiful ceremony under the custom made Huppa. For their reception, the band Night Shift really got things going with one of the most intense Horas I've seen. What a fun night, congrats guys!
One of our all time favorite Boston weddings was just published on Borrowed & Blue! If you can believe it, this was a do-it-yourself wedding from the very beginning. Everything was carefully curated by Ksenia (a graphic designer by trade) and it really shows through in the intricate details and gorgeous calligraphy.
Knowing Jillian for even a short time has taught us a lot about who she is. Loving, hilarious and oh so much energy! It's only fitting that Mike's calm is her perfect complement. When they first went out for drinks then dinner, they instantly had a connection. He proposed to her right after the 4th of July fireworks on the Cape. Jillian was hoping to find some sparklers and also received a moment she would never forget.
Natalie and Mario have known each other for ages. After connecting through mutual friends, they have been dating all the way since 2003. When Mario proposed, it was on Natalie's birthday. Earlier in the week, she arrived home early and found a package, thinking that it was the handbag she had been wanting. He played it off like the package was for his mom. At midnight of her birthday he gave her the mysterious package. As she was opening it up, to her dismay she found the big box empty! She then spotted a tiny box inside and looked to Mario who was on one knee. She may not have gotten that handbag but she got something even better!
Ashley and Matt met each other in architecture school and traveled abroad. After a long friendship, they finally began dating after graduation. Matt ended up proposing after thanksgiving dinner during a walk around the Doris Duke's estate in Newport. That was one of Matt's favorite spots after summers spend cliff jumping. It only made sense that they would be married in Newport, where Matt grew up.
Elaine and Tuan wanted their engagement session to capture the love between them and also the beautiful fall foliage. What better spot than at the Arnold Arboretum, very close to where Tuan used to live when they began seeing each other. The afternoon walk around the gardens really showed their playful side. When I asked Elaine and Tuan to make each other laugh, they instantly went to goofy faces. The gardens look simply stunning year-round, amazingly there are still flowers blooming this late!
The day kicked off, as it should, at their home filled with the laughter and warmth of family and friends. As Galen got her hair and make up done, Tom strolled about in his monkey slippers and pjs telling jokes and whales tales while sharing in drinks and toasts.
As the time neared for the ceremony, Tom looked dapper as he walked out the front porch and across the street to look out over the Charles River. Galen followed shortly afterward and tapped him on the shoulder to share in their first look. In the soft autumn light filtered through the leaves, the emotions flooded in for the first time as Tom recalled all the years that passed between them that inevitably led to this day.
Jennifer and Tobin came all the way from way out west to share their special day with their friends and family in New Bedford, MA. Jennifer did a fantastic job planning their wedding from afar, as Tobin has spent the majority of the last year deployed with the US Air Force. Their wedding day was filled with laughter, happy tears and lots of great memories. Their nautical themed wedding was accented with teal and coral. We made sure to take the drone out for a spin to snap a few photos of the beautiful day out on Buzzard's Bay.
Kristin and Rich wanted a classic Boston wedding to really wow their guests. I would say it was a rounding success as not only was the day picture perfect but once the sun went down is when everything really shined!
Sarah and Bobby's wedding was one of the more anticipated weddings of this year's wedding season. We knew after their beautiful engagement session that their wedding was going to be well thought out and beautiful. From the light beach themed touches to the soft blush pink accents, everything was beautifully coordinated.
Alison and Jeff's wedding was a spectacular event. We are so honored to have been able to attend such a beautiful ceremony and reception. We started out the day while Alison and Jeff were getting ready at their family's homes in Narragansett. Shortly after, they shared a first look and had a few moments before their ceremony began at the South Ferry Church. After sharing their 'I do's' and a first kiss, Alison and Jeff were whisked away to take a boat ride out on the water to take them to their reception. After making their grand entrance, this sweet couple spent the evening drinking, eating and dancing with their most loved friends and family. Congratulations, Alison + Jeff!
My dear friend Toa got married at Cambridge City Hall. Such special and intimate moment shared between them and their lovely families and I was so honored to be a part of it. After the sweet ceremony, we headed over to the MFA to stroll around the museum and stop in for a delicious dinner at Bravo Restaurant. Congratulations to the happy couple!
You may remember Diandra and Chris from their epic engagement session in Paris. Well they've been engaged for a very long time and know each other for even longer. I'm going to have to say all that extra time was definitely spent crafting the ABSOLUTE MOST PERFECT WEDDING! Yes I'm going all caps because this wedding deserves all caps. Everything couldn't have been more beautiful and stunning. The venue and vendors they chose are out of this world and everything from the flowers to the cake was breathtaking. Better yet, everyone was having a great time and relishing the moment.
Jill and Matt's wedding was a wedding that was classic and timeless. From their beautifully decorated ceremony and reception to the choices of their bridal party's attire, everything was absolutely perfect. We instantly fell in love with the gold and navy color theme, with a slight hint of their favorite movie, Up.
I always tell couples planning for engagement sessions to show their personalities. Aliza and Zach definitely took this to heart and brought as many props as they could find plus 4 outfit changes! We started in Salem common where Zach serenaded Aliza with the guitar she gave to him. The only time she saw him cry was tears of joy when he saw the beautiful guitar! He uses it regularly to make her laugh by singing her silly songs, making up the lyrics as he goes.
Kurt and Kettya's wedding day was nothing less than spectacular. From the intricate detail planning to their custom made outfits, they made sure to make their wedding a day to remember. They originally met in Cambodia when Kurt was looking for a home to buy. Kettya came strongly recommended as a local real estate agent. They searched for the perfect home for Kurt and started dating shortly after. The rest is history!
What a fantastic wedding held at the newly opened Beauport Hotel. Katie and John have know each other for 12 1/2 years, if you can believe it. They met during Freshman year of high school, continued through college and have been together ever since! John proposed to Katie on a cold, windy day last year on the beach and it was only fitting that they get married on the beach as well (this time with nice weather).
