Ashley and Matt met each other in architecture school and traveled abroad. After a long friendship, they finally began dating after graduation. Matt ended up proposing after thanksgiving dinner during a walk around the Doris Duke's estate in Newport. That was one of Matt's favorite spots after summers spend cliff jumping. It only made sense that they would be married in Newport, where Matt grew up.
I thought I knew Newport but Matt showed us around spots I never knew existed! After their first look, Ashley and Matt exchanged vows. Holding back tears, we then headed over to Rovensky Park for all the family photos in front of the beautiful sunlit trees. Finally we headed off to the Newport Yachting Center for their ceremony and reception. Ashley made all the gorgeous details herself (architects have a knack for those kinds of things). Plates of delicious seafood were passed and the hit of the nights was the 3 types of clam chowder - Rhode Island, New England and Corn.
We wish Ashley and Matt all the happiness in the world. We had such a wonderful time exploring Newport with you and now know the best ever place for cliff jumping!
