The story of this wedding will certainly go down in family lore for generations. Michelle is originally from the states but has been living in Perth, Australia for many years. They originally decided to have a big family wedding in Portland and planned the whole affair. Mere weeks before the big day, they got the terrible news that Nick would not be granted a marriage visa to enter the country! They needed a plan B fast. After having a huge party using their band and caterer on wedding day #1 (with Nick on attendance via Skype) they decided to have a destination wedding in Italy on the Amalfi coast in the halfway point between their two families.

The splendor of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast is simply breathtaking. Michelle got ready at Hotel Belmond Caruso and Nick at a rented villa nearby. Fruit and olive groves lined the hotel gardens as the sun rose over the sea.
Watch the incredible wedding film below to feel what it was like experiencing this magical wedding in Ravello.
Their first look took place at the crown jewel of Ravello, Villa Cimbrone. From the crypt to the manicured gardens to the incredible overlook, the Villa was an incredible sight to see.
Following the portrait session, we took the short walk to Chiesa Di San Francesco, a small church in the heart of Ravello. Their sweet ceremony was a joy to watch.
As Michelle and Nick exited the church, they were greeted by the fabulous Neopolitan band who serenaded the wedding party to the reception through the streets of Ravello!
The walk ended at the stunning Hotel Belmond Caruso, with it's perfect gardens overlooking the mediterranean. The table set up simply could not have been more perfect. Crystal glasses with gold details, limoncello apertifs all under an olive tree grove. Bellissimo!
The highlight of the hotel is of course the infinity pool with the mountains seen in the background.
Surprise fireworks at the end of the night really capped off the day. Get this - it was to celebrate Saint Michael, Michelle's saint day!
Sailing the Amalfi Coast | Day-After Session
There is no better way to see the beauty of the Amalfi Coast than via boat. After the beautiful wedding day experience, everyone rose early in anticipation for this unforgettable experience of touring around the picturesque towns via sailboat. The crew stopped at a few different spots to let us take a dip in the cool waters of the Mediterranean. Jovan even brought out the drone to capture the fun and excitement of jumping into the sea.
For lunch, we anchored off the coast of the iconic restaurant Adolfo's in Positano. It's fame comes from the need to take a boat to access the deliciously fresh seafood. There is no official menu there, they serve what they have freshly caught and the dishes sell out quickly! Afterwards the wedding crew took one more dip into the sea. Michelle threw her bouquet off the side and it was a tie between Brooke and Kim! One more toss for good measure and Michelle's sister Kim caught it that time.
These were certainly memories that everyone included will cherish for a lifetime!
