What a fantastic wedding held at the newly opened Beauport Hotel. Katie and John have know each other for 12 1/2 years, if you can believe it. They met during Freshman year of high school, continued through college and have been together ever since! John proposed to Katie on a cold, windy day last year on the beach and it was only fitting that they get married on the beach as well (this time with nice weather).

Lisa and Andrew tied the knot at the always stunning Villa in East Bridgewater on a hot summer day. Andrew originally wanted to get married in December when it was nice and cool but his compromise was not having to wear a jacket in July. He was eagerly anticipating the ceremony where he saw her for the first time. Lisa made the long walk down the aisle and after that they couldn't stop smiling, laughing. This day was all about their wonderful friends and family who piled on the dance floor all night. What a fun party on a beautiful July day!
Nikki and Nate are the most hilarious and exciting couple that we have had the pleasure to photograph. They both exude energy, life and fun in everything they do. They got ready in Newport, Nikki at the Pilgrim House and Nate at the Viking Hotel. When we arrived they both admitted they hadn't written down their vows yet on nice paper yet they composed beautifully heartfelt words heard at the ceremony. When we did the first look, Nikki wanted to do it a little different - Nate was blindfolded and led through the streets of Newport to where her dress was beautifully displayed. There was a big reveal and then many laughs as we all walked to the trolley.
Julie and Ryan paths crossed many times before they finally began dating. They met each other in first grade where they shared the same homeroom class before he moved away the next year. They didn't see each other again until High school when they met at a school dance. Even that was short lived and they didn't see each other again until their college years when they met again at a friend's house. Having both recently become single their paths finally aligned and they began dating. After years of being inseparable, Ryan concocted a brilliant plan to bring Julie back into the classroom where they first met as kids. Surrounded by flowers, notes from family and their class photo, he asked her to marry him!
Yiho and Michael really did have a picture perfect wedding. They got ready at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge in the beautiful bridal suite with an incredible view of the river and skyline as well as a balcony looking on the inside of the hotel. The girls were busily prepping themselves while the guys took 10 minutes then headed to the bar (as per usual). Michael opened a gift from Yiho of gorgeous cuff links, which he proudly wore.
Diana and Will have known each other for a long time - all the way since high school! On their 10 year anniversary, they took a trip to London, Paris and Rome. They were watching the beautiful light show at the Eiffel tower when Will pulled out one more sparkle for her in a small box. Diana burst into tears of joy as the moment she had been waiting for had finally come! The rest as they say is history.
Any day that I get the chance to photograph dogs is a good day in my book! Kristen works at the Have a Heart Animal Hospital doing what she loves best - taking care of all the wonderful pups (and trying to resist bringing them all home with her). It was only fitting that Shamus would propose at the Kancamagus Highway with all 3 dogs as witness. Having the rescue pups there for the ceremony was heartwarming to say the least.
This beautiful wedding began with a first look at Houghton's Pond at Blue Hills Reservation. Rebeca teared up when she saw Henry for the first time but those tears quickly disappeared into smiles. On a calm and sunny summer day, we strolled the park, overlooking the water. That's when the rest of the bridal party showed up, ready to party! Slow down, people, we have a ceremony to attend!
This wedding really was a fairy tale. The day was warm with a cool breeze, the sun was shining with white puffy clouds and everyone couldn't have been happier. Zach and Elyse first met playing intramural volleyball in their freshman year at the University of Hartford. Soon their friendship grew and 8 years later they were married at the gorgeous Zukas Hilltop Barn.
Two different families merged during this wedding which incorporated both Vietnamese and western traditions. We began with a tea ceremony and an exciting lion dance at the house of Tram and Ben. The delicious food was brought by Ben's family and prepared by Tram's for the meal shared by the newly joined families.
This couple had a wedding focused on non-stop fun. Erin was busily working getting everything just perfect before the big day. She put together all the little details including the flowers. If she ever decides to become a professional florist, she's certainly got a knack for it!
Krystal and Fidelis met at MIT before Krystal even attended the college at a meeting on campus. The had an enjoyable 5 minute conversation then didn't see each other until Krystal officially began MIT in 2012 as a Freshmen. They immediately began dating and the rest is history. Krystal hails from Jamaica and Fidelis from Zimbabwe. Even though they came from two opposite corners of the earth, their families and friends from all over the world merged on that joyful day in unison.
Sara and Justin's wedding was a flower garden wonderland located at the rustic Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Their wedding was full of carefully crafted details, created by local companies.
This wedding was rich with details. It should come to no surprise given this couples artistic background, a seamless continuation of Ksenia & Filipe's engagement session done just last May. Ksenia curated every last detail with care, crafting a beautiful theme of adventure and travel. It was only fitting as Ksenia, originally from Russia, and Filipe from Brazil, blend together cultures which at first seem so different yet share so much in common. They are both welcoming, from the heart, and put family above all else (well, maybe food and drink comes a very close second). One thing is certain, they love each other deeply and live their lives with passion!
What a perfect day for an elopement. The day couldn't have been any prettier when Stephanie and Sterling met with their family and friends for a sweet, romantic (and funny!) ceremony overlooking the pond. Sterling looked very dapper in his grey suit and Stephanie looked like a Victorian dream with her beautiful birdcage veil and flowers in her hair.
Stephanie just graduated from Northeastern but this was a destination wedding, as they live in Colorado and Sterling originally hails from Venezuela. I personally have always loved the intimacy of elopements. There's nothing more moving than when you're surrounded by the closest people in your life. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Joanna and Lihong's wedding was one for the ages. It took place at the beautiful Elm Bank in Wellesley surrounded by lush gardens. They wrote their own vows and had to hold back tears of emotion as they read them to each other. The moment after they kissed and walked down the aisle was one of pure joy and happiness. Their whole bridal party surrounded the couple and embraced them in a big group hug. So many feels!
Kara and Colin met at Georgetown University, where they made so many friends and also fell in love. Kara is an emergency nurse and Colin works as an emergency management specialist so of course they would approach their wedding with a cool ease while everything was perfectly orchestrated. Colin volunteers as an EMT and on annual Nurse's Appreciation Day, what better way to celebrate them both than with a surprise cake in the shape of an ambulance!
We are so excited to announce that Lina + Steve's Oceanview of Nahant wedding was featured on The Modern Jewish Wedding!
New Years Eve weddings are really the best. Not only did Meghan and Ralph meet at a New Years party 10 years ago but he also proposed to her once the ball dropped in 2013! The date has such special meaning to them that it's no wonder that they would choose New Years to ring in 2016 surrounded by their family and friends.
This wedding was all about the love of family. Shea and Tom tied the knot at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. No one let the rainy December day get them down as they laughed, danced and cried tears of joy throughout the night. One of the highlights was definitely seeing grandpa on the dance floor all night! These two teachers really know how to party and are clearly meant for each other. Congrats!
