Alli & Colby wanted a picturesque beach wedding at a venue that was special to them. Colby grew up going to the beach at the Dunes Club and they often enjoyed summers together by the pool. I also have been going to the Dunes Club my entire life, so it’s a very sentimental place for me as well, and was so fun to be able to capture a wedding there! Alli got ready inside the clubhouse while Colby got ready at a nearby bed and breakfast. There was a thick fog over the water that ended up slowly dissipating as the day wore on. They came together for their first look in the garden. There, they read their own vows to each other. Afterwards, we took a walk around the club grounds from the bathhouses to the cabanas to the front lawn for some photos. Then it was time to tuck away for the ceremony.
Their ceremony took place on the Dunes Club lawn overlooking the water. As Alli descended out of the clubhouse, the wind took her dress and the sun came out, making her entrance seem magical. They had a short and sweet ceremony, a kiss to celebrate, and then it was off to the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour took place on the great lawn with the most beautiful and picturesque golden light. People were playing cornhole, watching the waves while being served delicious apps and drinks. We then moved into the reception space, which was gorgeously designed by Olivia Brent of Brent Events and furnished by Ryan Designs. I loved the coastal bohemian style with rattan elements. It felt so unique and a perfect match for the Dunes Club.
As their reception wore on, they had a special surprise for their guests. They invited everyone outside for the cake cutting and as they began cutting their cake, fireworks appeared over the water! They put on an incredible show and all the guests were wowed by the spectacle. They shared a kiss as the explosions were overhead and then headed back into the reception to begin dancing. Their band, Take it to the Bridge, kept the guests on their feet all night and Alli even surprised everyone with a fun dress change. Glow sticks were passed around and everyone had a fabulous time. This wedding was a highlight of our year and we felt so honored to be a part of it!

How They Got Engaged:
One morning, Colby was insistent on going for a walk to the esplanade (their favorite walking route), but Alli had already signed up for a class at the gym. He seemed pretty disappointed, so she said she would go directly after. In the middle of the walk, he suddenly stopped and got down on one knee - while Alli was still in her sweaty gym clothes and all! Later that afternoon, Colby had planned a special picnic on Castle Island, where they enjoyed the evening and called all their family and friends to tell them the news!
