Madison and Omar’s perfect day began on a warm August day at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester, overlooking the water. Madison was getting ready with her mom, sister, and all her bridesmaids in the bridal suite. Her makeup was flawless and she was radiating joyful energy the entire day. Meanwhile, Omar arrived at the hotel right before the first look and put the finishing touches on his perfectly tailored suit before their first look. When they saw each other for the first time, they began crying tears of joy. They were high school sweethearts and this moment was a long time coming! We began taking photos out on the deck with the brilliantly blue water sparkling in the background.
After photos, it was time for the ceremony. Everyone tucked away while the guests began arriving at the Beauport. When Madison walked down the aisle, the wind caught her veil, as it flowed behind her. Omar was beaming watching her. Their ceremony was short and sweet, and with a kiss, they were wed! Cocktail hour was on the deck and we took the extended family photos. Inside, the reception was perfectly decorated with bright flowers and seashells. They had their grand entrance inside the Beauport reception hall and everyone cheered as they did their first dance. Then there was a special surprise, as a Middle Eastern dance troupe with huge drums got the crowd on their feet. Omar is originally from Jordan, so incorporating elements of his culture was very important to him.
During dinner, we snuck away down to the beach for some incredibly beautiful sunset photos by the water. They have such an incredible connection that it was so much fun for us to photograph them! As we walked back to the Beauport, the cheers and hollers from their guests on the deck made for some laughs. When we returned to the reception, the dance party began in earnest and everyone was up off their seat. We had such a wonderful time photographing this day. Everything felt so joyful and effortless. Cheers to the newlyweds!
HOW THEY MET
Omar and Madison met during freshman year of high school. They had mutual friends in elementary and middle school but didn’t cross paths until their freshman year. They had almost all of their classes together throughout high school and became very close friends. They eventually began dating our junior year of high school and have been together ever since! They both graduated from Saugus High and then attended Northeastern University where we graduated from in 2021.
HOW THEY GOT ENGAGED
Madison’s family goes to Puerto Rico often in the winter to visit her grandparents and Omar came for the first time in 2022. One of the days of vacation, Madison took Omar to Old San Juan and they explored the city. They walked over to a grassy area by the water and Omar completely caught Madison by surprise and proposed. They then were able to go back to celebrate with Madison’s family. It was a perfect day!
WHAT THEY LOVED ABOUT THE BEAUPORT HOTEL IN GLOUCESTER
When Madison and Omar began touring venues, they fell in love with the Beauport since it was right on the beach but was so elegant as well! Their wedding incorporated some traditions from Omar’s Middle Eastern culture with a dance troupe as well as some from Madison’s Italian heritage as well.
