Lauren and Bernie’s engagement session started off in the picturesque streets of Charlestown, where they live. We took the walk up to the Bunker Hill monument where we soaked in the incredible view of Boston and the Zakim bridge. They were total naturals in front of the camera and lit up with huge smiles whenever they looked at each other.
After the monument, we walked down the hill to the Charlestown Navy Yard. Despite living around Boston my whole life, I had never been there before but loved the walk with the old industrial features and the harbor beyond. We then took a quick ride over to the esplanade, where they watched the sunset on their first date. We found the dock and recreated the scene when they sat on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the water. We walked around a bit more finding some pretty spots to overlook the beautiful skyline and then said our goodbyes. I simply cannot wait to photograph their wedding at the State Room this fall!
