Emily and Joe's story begins in an unlikely place - at the checkout counter at Shaw's Supermarket. They were both working there when Joe unexpectedly stopped to help bag groceries and gave her a big smile. She was instantly smitten and by the end of that summer job, they knew they wanted to be together forever.
The wedding day began getting ready at a hotel with bubbles, both the alcoholic and the soapy kind. It continued as we made our way to the church, where we were greeted by a bagpiper in full Scottish garb. Their sweet ceremony included a gasp of joy from Joe as he saw her walk down the aisle along with a few happy tears from Emily. After the ceremony, we were off to Gibbet Hill!
Springtime in New England means unpredictable weather and this day was no exception. It rained the entire day, which makes for a wealth of good luck and also some extra creativity for photos. Emily, Joe and the entire bridal party were adventurous enough to venture outside with umbrellas to capture some gorgeous shots on the green hills. Their details were so fun with gifts of basil grown by the bride and groom! A perfect touch to this relaxed and happy farm wedding.
