Sakshi & Suman first met in orientation week during their residency program and their quick friendship turned into a great relationship! Their parents were in town and they had planned a picnic that morning at a park stretching along the Niagara River - a secret retreat of theirs. Suman arranged it so that they would arrive ahead of their parents with breakfast. He then surprised Sakshi with a proposal and a ring, carefully stashed away in his pocket.
Their wedding was a traditional Hindu Ceremony. Although they're both Indian, their families originate from areas which have different cultures. Sakshi is Punjabi while Suman is Bengali. Their wedding day was to blend both cultural backgrounds, while still keeping it as modern as possible. Over two days, we captured the fun and colorful elements with their culture on display. Sakshi and Suman, along with their families, are truly beautiful inside and out.
