Lee & Cam aimed to make an unforgettable experience for their guests for their stunning Newport wedding. Lee envisioned countless little details to make everyone feel welcome and delighted. While Mother Nature had her own plans (it poured buckets almost the entire day!) it all ended up coming together in the end with the help of Paula of Marrero Events, who pieced together the complex logistics. Lee began getting ready at the cottages at Castle Hill Inn in Newport. There, she did her makeup and got into her gorgeous dress. Her dad came in to see her and they had a sweet moment together. It’s not every day that you see your only child get married and both her parents love her so much.
Lee & Cam had their first look at Castle Hill Inn, then we headed over to Fort Adams, which luckily had a gorgeous interior space where we took portraits. The ceremony was out on the lawn, protected from the elements with a large tent. Lee made a grand entrance, arriving via horse and carriage. It was a true princess moment! As she walked down the aisle, the look on Cam’s face was one of pure joy and love. They said their personal vows to each other in front of their family and friends. It was very heartfelt with moments of levity; you can tell how well they complement each other. With a kiss, they were wed and like magic, the rain stopped and for a brief moment, the sun peeked out through the clouds at the perfect time!
The trolleys then transported everyone to the iconic Rosecliff Mansion in Newport. Photographing at Rosecliff has always been on our bucket list and the mansion did not disappoint! We took a few photos exploring Rosecliff’s grand façade and gardens before heading inside. The grand ballroom was decorated lavishly with beautiful white hydrangea garlands cascading onto the floor. The room was lit with candles, creating a rich and welcoming atmosphere.
Lee & Cam made their grand entrance and then went right into their romantic choreographed first dance. Immediately afterward, the guests got up off their seats to join in the Hora, where Lee & Cam were lifted onto chairs with everyone cheering in celebration. After a gourmet meal, some heartfelt speeches, and even a surprise Haka performance, the dancing really picked up with their amazing band, Beantown. At the end of the night, they had their final farewell with all the guests cheering with lit-up wands as they drove away to the afterparty. This wedding was so glamorous and fun, an epic event that we will never forget!
