Some wedding days seem long and stressful then some breeze by so fast you wonder how you managed to fit so much in 8 hours. The latter was the case with Jen and Grant’s joyful, emotional and incredibly fun wedding at the Beauport Hotel. We began getting ready at the Beauport with Jen and Grant having a great time with their bridal party. Jen and the girls were popping champagne and admiring the gorgeous view and Grant’s crew were dancing and cheersing in their room.
Jen and Grant had their first look on the deck of the Beauport Hotel, where they wiped away each other’s happy tears in an emotional moment. We then were whisked away to Hammond Castle to take photos. The Castle itself looks to be straight from Scotland, which coincidentally matched perfectly with Jen’s roots - her father was in his family’s tartan kilt and her mom matched with a beautiful broach. Even more unusual is the tropical courtyard within the walls where it feels like you’ve been transported to Bermuda. We had such a wonderful time exploring the castle and then took the ride back to the Beauport.
Their ceremony included many people coming up to recite stories about the couple, their history and their lives together. We loved how in that time, we felt like we really got to know them as people and understood how they were truly meant for each other. They also wrote vows and read them out to the audience. With a kiss and a cheer they were off to cocktail hour, where they could spend time with their families. The reception went perfectly and we were even able to steal them away for a few shots as the sun was setting. Such an incredible couple got the best day ever and we loved every minute of it!
THEIR STORY
Grant and Jen were introduced by their best friends, Alexie and Kiz. They first met at a Saint Patrick’s Day party in South Boston. They had their first date at the Beehive in the South End and the rest was history. After many years, Grant officially proposed at the Beehive, at the same table where they had their first date! Afterwards, they had dinner with family at Jen's family's favorite restaurant, Limoncellos, in the North End.
