Long lasting love is something truly special and rare. Richard and Simon have been together for 25 years and to celebrate this milestone, they made the decision to make it official and have a wedding ceremony surrounded by their loving family and friends. They chose the Dome Room at the Lenox since it was the perfect size for an intimate wedding. They began getting ready in the suite and helped each other with their cuff-links and ties. It was only natural that they would be getting ready together than in separate rooms since they’ve been together so long.
The weather was not the best that day but our rain plan was to go to the beautiful white columns at MIT, where Simon did his post-doc. It was a great choice since their dark suits stood out perfectly against the classic white column backdrop. After portraits, we drove back to the Lenox for the ceremony. They had a wonderful officiant who told about their lives together and then they said their vows. With a kiss, they were wed and on onto the start of their reception. Half of the wedding guest list were from London and most of the rest were local so it was a lively cocktail hour with many laughs. At the start of the reception, they had their first dance and listed to heartfelt toasts. It was a beautiful day to remember with no stress, focused on the people they loved most. A big congratulations to the Simon and Richard!
