Joe and Audrey met while studying at Colgate University. Joe was Audrey's Economics TA and a year ahead of her. They hit it off right away and began dating a few months later. They made it through several periods of long distance from New York to Maine to Shanghai until eventually both settling down in Boston. They decided on a unique Boston venue right in the heart of the harbor. Thompson Island is a short ferry ride away from downtown and is so rich with history and beauty!
They began getting ready in small cottages around the property. After their first look, we took a golf cart around the island taking in the sites from the wild and windy grasslands to the abandoned stone cellar. They then had their ceremony, which was officiated by Joe's aunt. Her sweet words really touched the crowd and brought tears to their eyes. After their ceremony, guests played lawn games overlooking the beautiful views of the skyline. Their reception was fun and relaxed, the place setting even included a bib for the lobster feast that awaited the guests. Another highlight were the incredible pies baked by Joe's aunt. To cap the night off, there was a bonfire on the beach with the sound of fireworks in the distance. Thompson Island was really the perfect place for for Audrey and Joe's fun and laid back wedding.
