Space has played a huge role in Kellie’s life since she was raised in Jupiter, Florida, watching the rockets reach to space as a child from her bedroom window. Naturally, their wedding would be space-themed while still tying in to her family roots in beautiful Woodstock, VT. With such a virant and ambitious couple like Kellie & Steven, it's no surprise that their officiant was NASA astronaut and ISS Commander , Michael Lopez-Alegria. The two tied the knot beneath a colorful arbor at the Woodstock Inn & Resort and were quickly escorted off by three Storm Troopers. Kellie and Steven are adventurous, to say the least. Their passion for the extreme is what brought them together and what continues to strengthen their love.
Their reception was out of this world, reflecting Kellie's background in the ever-growing commercial space industry. With a full moon projected high above the dance floor, the party kicked off in style. It was a perfect Labor Day weekend to share with friends and family who traveled from all around the world. One of the highlights was when the famed astronaut, Scott Kelly, beamed down a special message from the International Space Station to wish the couple well. It was the best present an aspiring astronaut like Kellie could ask for!
A full-scale fireworks display topped things off as the band played late into the night, their songs carrying across the lake and up into the brilliant night sky, deep into Milky Way. On this Earth, at that precise time and space, narrowed from the endless multiverses of possibility, Kellie and Steven were as one. We wish them a safe but wild journey through life together!
