Gloucester is such a special place to spend a sunny October afternoon! Paige and John first got to know each other when they were living in the area so it only made sense to have their engagement session there. Their go-to bar was Cape Ann Brewing right in the town center. After taking a quick walk around the Gloucester, we headed over to Half Moon Beach. There the sun was just beginning to set and lit up the trees with a gorgeous golden glow. We scaled rocks and explored the coast until it was time to head back. What a perfect fall evening!
Terra and Jamey are too adorable for words! Always smiling and laughing, it's clear how much they love each other. Terra works at the New England Aquarium training seals and sea lions - pretty much every animal lover's dream job. We had such a great time wandering around Boston during a chilly but sunny February day. The snow was gone but at least we got a gorgeous sunset! They're getting married this October at the State Room in Boston and I for one can't wait to be there for their big day.
What can I say about this fun couple who got married on one of the coldest days of the year? Well it didn't matter how cold it was outside because they lit up the Sonesta! They had a sweet ceremony with tears and laughs and then immediately went into one of the most crazy dance parties we've ever seen. You would think photographing hours and hours of dancing might get boring but not with this crowd. People of all ages were crowding the dance floor. There was a chair dance, an Irish jig, costumes, the limbo and to cap it all off confetti cannons that filled the room up with sparkles as the fireworks went off in the distance. What an epic way to ring in the New Year. Cheers to 2018!
Daniella and Ted had their first date in Austin at a wine bar and 3 hours later they knew they wanted to see more of each other. On a family trip to Iceland, they toured waterfalls, went snowmobiling and took a private tour inside of a glacier. It was there that Ted got down on one knee and proposed! When planning a location for their wedding, they considered their family and friends in New York, Texas, California and Mexico. Instead of picking just one of those spots they decided to make an adventure of it and get married in Italy. What better place than Ravello, the balcony of the Amalfi Coast!
Delia and JJ's stunning winter wedding was held at the Hampshire House in Boston on a snowy December day.
This wedding was such a wonderful experience for us. Sarah is the sister of one of our all time favorite couples Jennifer & Tobin they and flew us out to Chicago to capture the beauty of their city! It was an unseasonably warm fall day when we toured around all the sites. We began with their first look right outside their apartment. We then took a trolley to Navy Pier with an incredible view of the city. We then went to the bridges over the river downtown and finally made a stop at the iconic Chicago Theater.
If there's one word I can use to describe Lauren and Brian, it's enthusiasm! Brian especially is one of the happiest guys I've ever seen to get married. His expression as Lauren was walking down the aisle was first of awe then of excitement then of pure joy. After the ceremony they were practically dancing down the aisle!
Spending time in World's End, it's hard to imagine that you are so close to Boston. The quiet, idyllic hills and coastline have been kept pristine for generations, thanks to The Trustees of Reservations. We met on a warm fall day when the leaves were just beginning to turn. The sun gave out that golden hue as we walked around with Benji, their little French Bulldog pup. I don't think Jess and Sin can take a bad photo as their glamorous style lit up the natural beauty around them. The session came to an end all too soon as the sun retreated. We could have spent hours exploring all World's End has to offer!
Alexis and Justin met at Sacred Heart college where they were the same major. After spending pretty much every class together, they finally began dating after a year. Almost 9 years later, they are getting married on and Alexis' grandmother's anniversary.
Sam first saw Marilyn on a night out and was immediately smitten. He thought she was beautiful and was dying to get her number. A friend gave it to her and he then invited her out on a bike ride date. Since then they have had two adorable kids! Their wedding day began getting ready in an adjoined suite on the top floor of the Westin. It was an unseasonably warm and sunny October day where and the views from the top were simply stunning!
These two have such a wonderful group of family and friends supporting them and it was truly an honor to be a part of their wedding day. Leia and Peter have been together for a long time. Leia is down to earth and caring and Peter is full of energy and laughter. They are the perfect match and with all the love shown during their wedding, you can tell they are destined to be together!
Elaine and Tuan are seriously one of my favorite couples ever. They're just too dang funny and never take life too seriously. Their wedding wedding began at Emmanuel Church in Boston. A gorgeous spot right in the center of the city, their vows were sweet with so many laughs! After they officially tied the knot, we walked over to the Boston Public gardens for some portraits. Dancing and goofing around, you can tell they know how to live it up! We then walked over to Acorn Street in Beacon Hill for a few more shots of just Elaine and Tuan before heading over to China Pearl in Quincy.
Where do I start with this wedding. These Texans somehow managed to combine a red Porche, Mariachi band, Harry Potter and real owls into their rustic Vermont wedding day. How you ask? Watch the film below to find out!
It is such a dream to photograph this beautiful Newburyport Engagement Session at one of the prettiest spots in Massachusetts. Sierra and Andrew are two musicians who live on the iconic Plum Island in Newburyport. Together they are in a band called Unnamed Colors (check them out!) They perform together regularly so it only made sense that Andrew would bring along his guitar for their session. Sierra is the lead vocalist and pianist for the band but carting around a piano wouldn’t exactly be practical.
We began photographing in Maudslay State Park on a warm September day. The light was beginning to get that golden glow as we walked around the green woods and gardens. Across the street from the park is an outdoor performance space where the couple performed during summers. The day could not have been more perfect!
After their impromptu performance, we took the short drive to their home. Sierra and Andrew changed clothes then we walked to the beach, which is literally right across the street from their home. With the sand in our feet, we walked along the dunes and beach grass over to the jetty. The sun was just about down at this point as they shared a moment together on the jetty. Finally, Andrew rolled up his jeans and they waded into the ocean surf for a kiss. These two have the most romantic and adventurous spirit and I simply cannot wait to photograph their wedding next summer!
Remy and Brendon's incredibly gorgeous and lively Hyatt Regency Cambride wedding
Being around these two quickly made me realize that Breezy and Tim truly are best friends. They've been together for 6 years and their smiles are contagious! We had such a wonderful afternoon exploring the cliff walk and goat island as the sun was setting. I can't wait to be a part of their big day next June on the Cape!
Tammie and Levan's gorgeous wedding at the Villa in East Bridgewater
Their wedding began with everyone getting ready at the hotel. They had their first look on the rotunda overlooking the harbor and the street below. After a few photos under the arch, they began their ceremony around the beautiful sofreh. Persian ceremonies are a lot more interactive than western ones, where the audience cheers at different points, loved ones bring gifts to the table and the women closest to them rub sugar cones together over a cloth of unity to symbolize the sweetness of their marriage.
Their wedding day began with some threatening forecasts of rain. It was disappointing to think that we wouldn't be able to go outside and take advantage of the beautiful grounds. Thankfully the rain finally stopped and 5 minutes before the ceremony began and they chose to move from the tent to the lawn. It was a real team effort with the kitchen staff and coordinators rearranging the chairs and me and Jovan moving the flowers. Jovan and I even doubled as flower girls spreading the petals moments before they walked down the aisle! It was totally worth it to make Stephanie and Billy's dream come true of getting married looking over the allée of the Crane Estate!
Amber and Ryan are from Colorado and decided that they wanted to elope in a special place they had never been to - Cape Cod. What better spot than the Captain's Manor Inn in Falmouth! When I first arrived, the weather had been threatening rain all day and there were a few sprinkles here and there. Thankfully the rain kept at bay and they were able to have their ceremony under the gazebo. It was so touching as they reach their vows to one another, holding back tears. Afterwards they were greeted with cake, champagne and a personalized watercolor of the inn. They are so happy and so in love!
