What a great couple we had the pleasure of spending last Monday with! Ashley and Matt are in the architectural/engineering field so what better place for an engagement session than at iconic buildings around Cambridge. We began at the newly renovated Harvard Art Museum in the courtyard. After taking in the beautiful renovation, we took a short walk to Le Corbusier's Carpenter Center. Don't get us started on architecture or else we will surely spend more time discussing theory and design than actually photographing!
What a perfect day for an elopement. The day couldn't have been any prettier when Stephanie and Sterling met with their family and friends for a sweet, romantic (and funny!) ceremony overlooking the pond. Sterling looked very dapper in his grey suit and Stephanie looked like a Victorian dream with her beautiful birdcage veil and flowers in her hair.
Stephanie just graduated from Northeastern but this was a destination wedding, as they live in Colorado and Sterling originally hails from Venezuela. I personally have always loved the intimacy of elopements. There's nothing more moving than when you're surrounded by the closest people in your life. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Joanna and Lihong's wedding was one for the ages. It took place at the beautiful Elm Bank in Wellesley surrounded by lush gardens. They wrote their own vows and had to hold back tears of emotion as they read them to each other. The moment after they kissed and walked down the aisle was one of pure joy and happiness. Their whole bridal party surrounded the couple and embraced them in a big group hug. So many feels!
Kara and Colin met at Georgetown University, where they made so many friends and also fell in love. Kara is an emergency nurse and Colin works as an emergency management specialist so of course they would approach their wedding with a cool ease while everything was perfectly orchestrated. Colin volunteers as an EMT and on annual Nurse's Appreciation Day, what better way to celebrate them both than with a surprise cake in the shape of an ambulance!
We are so excited to announce that Lina + Steve's Oceanview of Nahant wedding was featured on The Modern Jewish Wedding!
We are currently filming our first feature across the country and will be returning May 3rd. Check out our progress and follow along our adventures!
Check out this beautiful New Years Day wedding that took place at The Ritz-Carlton in Boston. The perfect mix of elegant and fun, Liz and Michael certainly know how to party! We were so honored to be able to capture their day with such wonderful family and friends. Be sure to watch the insane dance moves starting at minute 6:30!
We first met with Tram and Ben in Boston's pristine Public Library. They had never been there before and were amazed at the beauty of this historic landmark. Posing like real pros, we walked around the open air courtyard, the reading room and the grand staircase. After that we headed over to our favorite secret spot on Congress street. Tram really wanted a garden feel and the atrium looks great no matter what the season!
We can't wait to photograph their wedding this June at the Saphire Estate!
Danielle was hoping for it to be snowing during their engagement session and boy did she get her wish! Mother nature provided and we spend the afternoon walking their pup Kody in the calm quiet of fresh snowfall in Maudsley State Park.
Danielle is an expert yoga instructor and with Dan's help, they pulled off a crazy upside down kiss in the snow! After dropping off Kody at home, we took the short drive to downtown Newburyport walking amongst the old brick buildings. Such a fun day with a great couple. We're excited to be shooting their wedding in November at Turner Hill!
This story is proof that these two were meant to be. Collette contacted us a couple months ago to capture her surprise proposal to her girlfriend Threisy. Right after the snowstorm, the Boston Public Garden was a winter wonderland, which made it even more special since this was Collette's first time seeing snow.
Collette got down on one knee and of course Threisy said yes but there was something up her sleeve as well. She gave Collette a large box that opened up to a series of smaller ones, the smallest containing a ring, inscribed with "Will you Marry Me?" Who would have thought that they both planned on proposing on exactly the same day! What an incredible story that we were thrilled to be a part of. Who proposed first? That's for these two to figure out ;)
Check out this mini-engagement session with did for Amanda and Gleyson for their save-the-dates! Can't wait for their big wedding coming up in October!
We're excited to announce that Sarah + Bobby's winter Boston engagement session was featured on Myweddings.com!
"This charming engagement session is a reminder of all of the beauty and fun of the holiday season. Sarah and Bobby walked around their city of Boston, grabbing coffee and cuddling along the harborfront. They were even able to go ice skating together at the Boston Harbor Hotel." - Sarah Pierce, Myweddings.com Author
A few weeks after our win of The Knot's Best of Weddings, we just heard that we also won Wedding Wire's Couple's Choice Award! We couldn't be more thrilled to be among the top 5% of wedding professionals in our area. Cheers to 2016 looking better and brighter than ever!
New Years Eve weddings are really the best. Not only did Meghan and Ralph meet at a New Years party 10 years ago but he also proposed to her once the ball dropped in 2013! The date has such special meaning to them that it's no wonder that they would choose New Years to ring in 2016 surrounded by their family and friends.
Sarah + Bobby met us in Seaport, Boston for a beautiful winter engagement session. We began the afternoon strolling along the harborwalk, sipping coffee in the park, and skating under the archway of the Boston Harbor Hotel. We finished along the trellis in Christopher Columbus park. They are such a fun couple and we are so excited to photograph their wedding in September!
This wedding was all about the love of family. Shea and Tom tied the knot at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. No one let the rainy December day get them down as they laughed, danced and cried tears of joy throughout the night. One of the highlights was definitely seeing grandpa on the dance floor all night! These two teachers really know how to party and are clearly meant for each other. Congrats!
Some babies cannot be tamed. That is the case with this little guy whose big personality shined through during this session. Federico and Melina are over the moon in love with him and their happiness cannot be contained. Baby Mateo is going to grow up one multi-lingual, brilliant and strong kid with roots in the US, Germany, Argentina and Italy (totally jealous)
When you think of December weddings you think snow flakes and hot coco. You certainly don't expect green grass, sunny days with 60 degree weather, which is why we had to make our own snow! Anna and Niko have been together since they were 20 when they met through mutual friends and have been together every weekend since then. It only made sense that the day they became "official" would be the day that they would be married.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we won the Knot's Best of Weddings! It is such an honor to be recognized. We couldn't have done it without such wonderful and supportive clients. Looking forward to next year!
Krista & Alec tied the knot among friends and family on Magnolia Bridge - Bayou St. John and kicked off an amazing night of music at the Pitot House in NOLA. Man, what a wild night that led to Bourbon Street! A toast to the two of you - May you have amazing little babies that look everything like Krista and, well, the best part of Alec - his smile.
