Elaine and Tuan wanted their engagement session to capture the love between them and also the beautiful fall foliage. What better spot than at the Arnold Arboretum, very close to where Tuan used to live when they began seeing each other. The afternoon walk around the gardens really showed their playful side. When I asked Elaine and Tuan to make each other laugh, they instantly went to goofy faces. The gardens look simply stunning year-round, amazingly there are still flowers blooming this late!

I always tell couples planning for engagement sessions to show their personalities. Aliza and Zach definitely took this to heart and brought as many props as they could find plus 4 outfit changes! We started in Salem common where Zach serenaded Aliza with the guitar she gave to him. The only time she saw him cry was tears of joy when he saw the beautiful guitar! He uses it regularly to make her laugh by singing her silly songs, making up the lyrics as he goes.
What a great couple we had the pleasure of spending last Monday with! Ashley and Matt are in the architectural/engineering field so what better place for an engagement session than at iconic buildings around Cambridge. We began at the newly renovated Harvard Art Museum in the courtyard. After taking in the beautiful renovation, we took a short walk to Le Corbusier's Carpenter Center. Don't get us started on architecture or else we will surely spend more time discussing theory and design than actually photographing!
Danielle was hoping for it to be snowing during their engagement session and boy did she get her wish! Mother nature provided and we spend the afternoon walking their pup Kody in the calm quiet of fresh snowfall in Maudsley State Park.
Danielle is an expert yoga instructor and with Dan's help, they pulled off a crazy upside down kiss in the snow! After dropping off Kody at home, we took the short drive to downtown Newburyport walking amongst the old brick buildings. Such a fun day with a great couple. We're excited to be shooting their wedding in November at Turner Hill!
This story is proof that these two were meant to be. Collette contacted us a couple months ago to capture her surprise proposal to her girlfriend Threisy. Right after the snowstorm, the Boston Public Garden was a winter wonderland, which made it even more special since this was Collette's first time seeing snow.
Collette got down on one knee and of course Threisy said yes but there was something up her sleeve as well. She gave Collette a large box that opened up to a series of smaller ones, the smallest containing a ring, inscribed with "Will you Marry Me?" Who would have thought that they both planned on proposing on exactly the same day! What an incredible story that we were thrilled to be a part of. Who proposed first? That's for these two to figure out ;)
Sarah + Bobby met us in Seaport, Boston for a beautiful winter engagement session. We began the afternoon strolling along the harborwalk, sipping coffee in the park, and skating under the archway of the Boston Harbor Hotel. We finished along the trellis in Christopher Columbus park. They are such a fun couple and we are so excited to photograph their wedding in September!
There's something so special about this quiet New England island right off the coast of Rhode Island. What better place to have an incredible engagement session, especially since it means so much to Alison and Jeff who know the island well. We spent the whole day exploring the beaches, the lighthouse and vistas. Stopping along the way for a champagne toast and even a few beers as the sun was setting. We will always remember this relaxing day and can't wait for their wedding in Newport next year!
This couple is going to have a big wedding next August and to prepare, we made the trek out to western mass to capture their engagement session. We began at the perfectly wonderful Look Park. We then traveled to the Great River Bridge in Westfield, a special place for Erick since he worked on the project. What an amazing view between twin bridges! These two look absolutely radiant and we can't wait for their big Portuguese wedding next year.
Wow, what a perfect night to walk around Gloucester! We begain at Cressy Beach and ended up taking a walk by the Eastern Point Lighthouse. Mary and Leon have been so much fun to spend time with and they definitely brought their A game to this lovely evening session. I can't wait to see what their fashionista style will bring on their wedding day in October!
This lovely couple met us in North Point Park on a beautiful day to take in the incredible view of the Zakim and the Charles. Afterwards we drove to Beacon Hill for a walk around the quintessentially Boston cobblestoned streets. Finally we ended up in the Boston Garden right as the sun was setting and the sky was set aglow by the street lamps.
The Arnold Arboretum hold wonders unique to each season. Ksusha and Filipe decided to bring their bikes for a ride around the winding paths, taking in the lilacs and beautiful spring flowers. We then headed to the deCordova Museum in Concord for an old-fashioned picnic during the sunset. Ksusha's design skills came in handy as I think her set up was the most beautiful picnic I've ever seen! Finally we snuck into Walden Pond just as it was closing for some epic shots in the water. What a fantastic couple and we can't wait for their wedding next year in May!
Such a beautiful day for a walk in the park! We met Christina and James at Blue hills to take their adorable pup Lucy around the pond. These two are so much fun to be around and are so clearly in love. We then drove to Cambridge to photograph in James' parents stunning garden. Finally just as the sun was setting we took a walk to the pedestrian bridge by Harvard Square. We can't wait for their fall wedding at the Tupper Manor's gorgeous estate!
You know when you first meet a couple and know that they won't only be great clients but great friends as well! That was the case with Diandra and Chris. We didn't need asking twice when they told us about their plans to visit Paris in spring. Luck gave us the perfect window of opportunity to meet them and spend all day touring the amazing city of lights romance. From the hill top of Montmartre to the steps of the Trocadero overlooking the Eiffel Tower. In one day we walked countless miles through the Tuileries garden down the Champs-Élysées and finished up with a night cruise on the Seine. It certainly was a day we will never forget!
Rockport has such amazing views and what better time to visit then right as the spring season kicks off! We spent an afternoon with Sam and Simin at this wonderfully nautical location, grabbing an ice cream around the town and then walking to the beautiful Eastern Point Lighthous. We can't wait to see this very stylish couple again at their Boston wedding this May!
A perfect excuse to visit Newport, Mollie and Mayur's engagement took us to the stunning coastline and on the cobble stoned streets of the city. These two hoteliers ventured from their homes in the Berkshires and will be getting married at the stunning Belle Mer this year. You can tell that Mollie and Mayur have incredible style and I can't wait to see what they bring in October!
This Sunday, we took advantage of the nice warm weather (all the way in the 30's people!) to spend the afternoon in the Common. Nicole and Steve are so much fun and actually said yes to tromping around the snow with us! We love it when couples are up for anything and these guys definitely embody that. It's clear that they are very much in love and we can't wait to shoot their wedding this October. Keep living up these snow days!
So grateful to be photographing the wedding of a long-time friend! Little Edgar braved the cold as we walked around Dorchester Park, then around a very snowy Boston Garden. Afterwards we popped into the Boston Public Library just as the sun was setting to warm up. Have a very happy Valentine's Day and we can't wait for September!
Proposing is a nerve wracking task for anyone to undergo, now imagine pulling it off via drone! That's what happened this Sunday when we at LV and Above Summit strapped Andrew's grandmother's engagement ring onto our hex rotor and flew it over the ocean on Crane Beach in Ipswich. Sophie said YES and couldn't believe he pulled off a stunt like this without her catching on. We wish them happiness and hope their life together lifts them to new heights!
Pumpkins, apples and cider donuts...oh my! What a perfect fall day we had with Paige & Jim when we met them at Carver Hill Orchard in Stow. Early in the morning before the crowds was the perfect time to explore the orchard, have a picnic and sample their delicious cider donuts. They were so much fun and we can't wait to see these guys next year for their wedding at the beautiful Charter Oak Country Club in October!
We had so much fun taking a walk around Boston with these two! From Christopher Columbus park we took a journey to Beacon Hill and then to the public garden. Dan had this habit of twirling around Lindsay as they're walking - so cute! We can't wait to see them again at their wedding in August at the Danversport Yacht Club!
