Anna & Brett’s wedding day started off like most of our weddings in 2023 - rainy and gray. Thankfully, before the first look, the rain stopped but that wasn’t the end of the waterworks. Brett was tearing up even before seeing Anna in eager anticipation of seeing her in her dress. He expressed to us that he was most looking forward to marrying Anna. His love for her was all-encompassing and they had a beautiful moment together of laughter and tears. We then walked around the gorgeous gardens of Elm Bank, taking in the vibrant seasonal flowers and ivy. The wedding party and family joined soon after and we took portraits in the Italianate Garden, next to the hydrangeas which were sporting a perfectly fall muted pink color.

HOW THEY MET

In 2014, Anna & Brett met at the University of Rhode Island. Before they met, they grew up just 15 minutes away from each other in the neighboring towns of Chestnut Hill and Needham. They met through mutual friends when visiting a friend’s house by chance and have been together ever since. When Brett proposed, he brought them to the site of their first date near URI in Narragansett, RI.

It then was time for the ceremony. Anna walked from the mansion down the long aisle to Brett and the rest of the wedding guests. By the fountain, they were wed in a sweet ceremony followed by a kiss. The look they gave each other while walking back down the aisle was the best moment of the entire day. It was pure bliss! They then enjoyed their cocktail hour where guests could wander around Bressingham garden and Weezie’s Garden. Meanwhile, the tent was expertly prepared with gorgeous details, planned by Paula Marrero and styled with gorgeous florals by Kerianne Nelson. Their reception was lively and joyful the entire time. The speeches were hilariously funny mixed with sweetness. They started the dances and the party was nonstop for the rest of the night.
