Fairmont Copley Wedding in Boston
Katie and Kevin’s wedding will go down in the books as one of the most lighthearted and relaxed “big” weddings we’ve seen. Most weddings we see that are over 250 people involve complicated logistics and lots of stress. This wedding was planned by the couple to perfection and they didn’t show a hint of stress the entire day. The guys and the ladies began getting ready at the Fairmont Copley in separate rooms. Katie gifted all her bridesmaids earrings and her mom, Kevin’s mom and her two maids of honor gorgeous bracelets. Meanwhile Kevin was having some drinks with his groomsmen and the dads. They had their first look in peacock alley and Kevin was trying his hardest to hold back tears. We then took the limo over to the Boston public gardens for bridal party, family and couple photos. It was a crowded day but we found a beautiful spot overlooking the water.
It then was time for their ceremony so we took the limo ride back to Copley Square to Old South Church. Their ceremony was officiated beautifully and all they were so excited to be getting married to each other. After the ceremony we took the short walk back over to the Fairmont Copley, stopping along the way to catch some photos in front of the Boston Public Library. The cocktail hour was an incredible setup with a live string trio and a delicious raw bar. The reception then took place in the large ballroom, which was beautifully decorated. There were wonderful speeches from Katie’s mom, both dads, the maids of honor and the best man. They then had a family dance where all the most important people came up to the dance floor instead of just the parents. It was such a sweet moment that quickly transitioned into epic dancing. The band Kahootz got things pumping and even glow sticks came out. What a wonderfully fun wedding!
