Hyatt Regency Cambridge Wedding
Hannah and Aaron wanted a city view wedding in Boston and there’s no better place than the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, which has a wonderful view of the Boston skyline. They got ready in separate rooms and then had their first look in the Princess ballroom. We then took the short drive over to MIT, where we wandered around the beautiful scenery. There was quite a chill in the air but Hannah braved the cold to get those classic white columns and beautiful views. Just as we were finishing up portraits on Memorial drive, the moon rose over the city.
We then took the short drive back to the Hyatt for some family photos followed but the ketubah and bedeken ceremonies. The ketubah was beautifully crafted and as a contract between the bride and groom. After some prayers and well wishes we moved upstairs for the formal ceremony. It’s traditional for the bride to make 7 circles around the groom but they chose to do it a little differently. First Hannah walked around Aaron 3 times then he walked around her another 3 times and finally they made a circle together. As they stood under the chuppah with their parents surrounding them, they officially became one family. With the break of the glass and the kiss, they were off to the reception.
The cocktail hour had the most food of any we’d ever seen with stations set up for pastas, meats, asian and Mediterranean eats and of course traditional Jewish delicacies. It was good that everyone had a hearty meal for cocktail hour because the Hora lasted for over 20 minutes of non-stop dancing! The reception had some truly meaningful speeches and then a choreographed first dance that got everyone up cheering. Hannah and Aaron had such a fantastic wedding!
