Francesca caught Tommy’s eye on Facebook through mutual friends and he sent her a friend request. They became Facebook pen pals for 2 years, “poking” and “liking” each other before finally meeting up for a snowboarding trip at Nashoba Valley in 2011. That day, they sat side by side on their first ski lift together. As the ski lift approached the landing zone, Tommy noticed that Francesca was nervous and that her snowboard was facing the wrong way. When the ski lift reached the ramp, Francesca jumped. Realizing that she was going to fall, she closed her eyes to prepare for the impact. Right before she hit the ground, Tommy wrapped his arms around her head, breaking the fall and landed on top. A crowd surrounded them and chanted, "kiss, kiss, kiss!!!" but Tommy refrained. What a gentleman! That day, they literally fell in love with each other.

Their wedding day began at the State Room, where they had a traditional tea ceremony honoring their parents and family members. Immediately afterwards, they began their ceremony with Francesca’s brother, Christopher officiating. They wrote vows to each other, which were very sweet and meaningful. After the cocktail hour, we drove around Boston taking photos at the Public Gardens, Beacon Hill, the Charles River and MIT. The reception took place at Empire Garden with an exciting Lion dance to kick off the night. Such a fun and wonderful couple, Tommy joked that he was a “groomzilla” but they sure did put together a beautiful and fun wedding day!
